I have a ton of reservations about Coach O. But I can see him pulling off the same if he makes the right hire at offense Off. Coordinator.

A good QB would also help.

He had a game changer once lifetime qb.

Something LSU has never had.

He went 8-5. Then he paid for the best QB in the country. And was out of a job 2 years later.

Well, that and arguably the best QB to come out of the SEC since Peyton Manning.

Leaving aside having one of the best college QBs of all time, how'd he do once that OC took a HC job?

2009 was Chizik's first year at Auburn. He went 8-5. Then he got a once-in-a-lifetime quarterback the next year.

Horrible example. Chizik lucked out with Cam Newton. After Cam left, Chizik went straight downhill.

Unless Cam Newton comes back to play at LSU. Coach O is not winning a NC.

Just got great fortune there
