it isn't a mid-tier bowl anymore.

I consider any bowl game that has only existed since 2008 to be mid-tiered or worse, I don't care what bowl rights it has and I don't care what bowl it claims it used to be because it isn't anymore.

The Peach Bowl has been around a long arse time.

The Peach Bowl no longer exists. It was killed by a cow.

Yes, it does.

What was formerly known as the Peach Bowl, then Chick-fil-a Bowl, now Peach Bowl again; all share the same history.

It is all the same bowl game, and that bowl game has been around a long arse time.

Right. It used to be the Peach Bowl. Now its not. Its the Chil-fil-a Bowl. So its no longer the Peach Bowl. Clearly. If it were the Peach Bowl, it would be the Peach Bowl, wouldn't it?

No it isn't. If it were the same, it would have the same name. Chik-fil-a didn't want there to be a Peach Bowl anymore. Clearly. Otherwise they would have continued to call it the "Chik-fil-a Peach Bowl". They had a problem with that name. Specifically the "peach" part of it. So they got rid of it. Its not there anymore.

It used to be the Peach Bowl, then recently it was the Chick Fil A bowl, now it is back to being called the Peach bowl.

BB03 is correct.

From 2006 until 2013, Chick-fil-A's contract gave it full naming rights and the game was referred to as the Chick-fil-A Bowl as a result. The traditional "Peach Bowl" name was reinstated following the announcement that the bowl would be one of the six College Football Playoff bowls.

It is called the Peach Bowl.

Stop being dumb.

ETA: According to the Peach Bowl website, LSU has won the Peach Bowl 5 times, which is more than any other team. Even though one of those wins was during the period that the game was branded as the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, that win still counts as a Peach Bowl victory as things stand today.

Whoa.

Sorry, my bad.

I totally missed that memo, seriously.

Awesome. Very happy to hear this.

I'm an LSU fan.

EDIT (I still refuse to recognize 2007-2013 as "Peach Bowls" - anymore than I recognize the Baltimore Ravens as the Cleveland Browns)
