Unfortunately, we participate in stupid hires like trying to get Jimbo, only to be schooled by Herman in the bowl game. Hands down, Herman is far better. Jimbo got lucky with Winston like Mahlzan got lucky with Cam.

Yep, and Stoops got 2.0 yesterday. If and when we make a new hire, LSU needs to avoid re-treads and go after an up and coming coach. It's exactly what we did when we hired Saban. Many fans didn't want him, didn't know who he was at Michigan State. This talk about Jimbo makes me nauseous. It would be a horrible decision to go after him. After seeing the product put on the field yesterday, the powers that be should already be making plans to talk with Herman and Briles. If we see that same offense the rest of the year, we lose 5-6 games.

Jimbo rebuilt a shite show at FSU and made them a powerhouse again. Before he had Winston they were a pretty good team. Sure, they were 2-3 loss teams at times but that was right after he took over a program in shambles from Bowden. They got progressively better each year until he finally took it all home with a NC. He also ended the SEC's streak of dominance in national title games. He can coach without Winston and I'll bet this season proves it after he schools Ole Piss tomorrow. I'm betting they'll beat Clemson too and are in the playoffs. You act like his team sucked balls last year or something without Winston.

Why? It has no effect on who gets hired IF Miles is fired.
I hope facebook never becomes that influential, that would be terrible for society.
I think Tom Herman would be a great hire, but he's not going to be available until after bowl season it appears, and that won't be until the 2nd week of January potentially, and thats IF he even gives LSU a chance to talk.

This is exactly right. This attitude of "It's too early", "We can't", "He'll never come here" ....honestly, it sounds like Miles has impacted the attitude of fans as well. Our expectations need to change, mediocrity is not an option

Miles' son didn't come to LSU because he knew this was his dad's last year at LSU.
