Not sure if anyone has mentioned this. It was in the ADVOCATE this morning. The defense said that Chavis was telling them how proud he was of them after the goal line stand. Don't remember who on the defense said this but I was glad to hear it. We need more fire and sense of urgency from this team. Georgia better be ready, 'cause this game is gonna be a smash mouth game.

Too bad we haven't played smash mouth football. The season is young my friend..... Stay tuned and watch Saturday. LSU will pull it out because of all the negativity they are hearing.

Who cries??.... Id rather him be screaming at his players for letting a horrible team put up 24 against him... The team has taken on the personality of our coach we play like he speaks which is not a good thing

If it's heartfelt and conveys genuine emotion something like that can really unify a team.

Screaming is not the only way to get through to young men. It has its place but to be honest I've seen as many bad coaches scream as good ones. It's often used to cover up for incompetence.

To the original poster: What was the take of the players in the Advocate? Did they say how they responded to it?

Look i like our defense i think they can be special as they learn the d more but crying after a win over miss state ?? The goal line stand was unbelievable and the reaction from our fans at d wade stadium was great but our team as a whole is just not mean enough.

So I'm sure you realize that LSU's offense hung a mighty 16 points on MSU?

So scream at the ofense too if you think it is warranted. Apparently the coaches do not.

The apathy among many of you is cowardly. A coach with pride and emotion is understood by a team who damn sure knows that Chavis is all in with his heart. I think they'll respond a get a win in tough place. Dont' forget that the Dawgs put 46 on Saban and Muschamp the last time we went to Sanford Stadium.

As long as we don't take a knee on the one yard line on the opening kickoff we should be OK.

Revisionist history would say that Saban and his screaming, get in your face defensive coordinator with hundreds of blitz packages could never have allowed 46 points, especially with two future starting NFL CBs in coverage!

I don't remember seeing him cry and I was shooting video of him because of how good his def. had just played. Brick was telling them what an amazing job they had just done, and that he'd never seen that before. $.02
