Chance Lange set the LSU Career Strikeout Record

He came into the season with 256 career strikeouts and needs 154 this season to break Scott Schultz's school record. For reference, he's started 17 games each of the last two seasons. Based on him starting 17 games this season, he'd need average about 9 strikeouts a game to break it. Also note that Schultz did it over 4 seasons. Ben McDonald threw 373 strikeouts over 3 seasons.

I'd like to think Lange has a great chance to break the record

Depends on if he can get control of his breaking ball or not
