OR.... He could have come back, and not fit well into the 4-3 and made less money.

He's already a first rounder, and once he kills the combine he will probably rise in the first round. I think the risk far outweighed the reward.

I think he was gone regardless. No need to risk further injury when he’s at worst a 2nd rounder.

Well, except for the fact that he’ll be a 3-4 OLB in the NFL...

Do we know that LSU is for sure switching to a 4-3

FWIW, Chaisson has great film from the last three games. He's leaving at his peak in a 3-4 system and I have a feeling he's going to explode during the combine.

he probably has the most to lose of the juniors by coming back. he still has that potential word next to his name, as a rusher, the p word is the best thing for your stock sometimes.

No. We definitely don't know that. And I'd be surprised if we do to be honest.

Why is everyone assuming we are going to a 4-3. Unless CFB goes back to a run first sport, the 3-4 is better to deal with the modern passing game. You have more angles to send pressure at QB and you have more coverage options with the 4 LB's than you have with 4 DL.

I hope LSU stays in the 3-4. This is not LSU/Bama era circa 2007 to 2012 with Miles and Saban using sledge hammers at each other.

Do what he wants and is best for him. Why is this so hard to comprehend?

Nah, one could still play DT next to a “smaller” guy like Logan.

OR... imagine a package with the two of them together

Get suspended for two cupcakes and them come back at the end of the season to utterly dissapoint in the most meaningful games?

I don't think we should. Especially with the pieces, we have in place.

I don’t understand y everyone is not seeing this!! KC is a 3-4 OLB in the NFL... Why would he be a DE in a 4-3 in college when he’ll be drafted as a standup OLB

Much like Delpit, Clyde and Jefferson the only sensible decision was to go pro. It would be hard to improve his stock more than where it’s at now.

the 4-3 is the predominant NFL defense in use.
