3 Power Five 1 loss teams (USC, Ohio St, Texas, Michigan, Clemson or ND)
Does LSU get penalized for losing to Alabama and not make CFP?

Thankfully, in 2024, LSU would comfortably be in a 12 team playoff at 11-1.

(b) win out in regular season and lose conference championship (and sneak in over a one-loss power five team)
I.E. You have alot riding on 11/4/23 in Tuscaloosa. You have to win this game in order to even have a chance at CFP.
