That all but confirms there will be some key players missing. The list of guys with publicized off the field issues during the offseason weren't doing anything in this game.

Yet he leaves practice open to the media and they see who isn't there and tweet it out and all kinds of shite.

Well, I'd rather he lay down the law at the start of the season then wait and let it become a big issue when we hit the SEC games. Miles had to kick players off the team. I don't blame either HC. Did it get worse over Miles' tenure? IDK. You have to set the tone and be consistent. Hopefully O and staff are able to do this. Time will tell.

If you have to suspend them, then you need to suspend the percentage of scholarship funds they will be out for.

Did anybody think there was any other reason?

I don't think suspended players or injured players ever travel with the team. I know for a fact that injured players have not traveled with the team in the past.

he does imply though that there are some pretty big impact players that are being suspended.

I don't see why not. Byu probably has zero game film on the guys starting in their places.

He needs to be more like Saban and just punish these kids on the practice field brutally. There is no need to make players miss games unless the NCAA directs them to.

Win at all costs ... nobody cares about moral decision when it comes to wins and losses.

Would have to agree here.

Consistency is what could become an issue. Say similar violations come up in the year but we have Bama next. Is he going to make the same decision to bench guys then if the NCAA isn't enforcing it?

The anti O crowd will complain about anything

I don't think it's got anything to do with being "anti O', at least not for me. I don't have a problem with the coaching staff not divulging injuries or suspensions or whatever else they feel needs to be kept private. What's really funny about it is, the previous staff got roasted by some of this fanbase for not divulging this kind of information. Damn near every week someone was complaining because they felt they had a right to know everything that was going on within the program.

Now most folks seem to think it's really smart to keep this kind of information secret. The about-face from some of the fans is comical.

FWIW, Florida is now up to 10 players suspended for the Michigan game.

Not necessarily. Some players won't travel due to injury. So you'll still be speculating to a degree as to whether the player is injured or suspended.
