As another poster stated, we should’ve won a NC with Hoover and Walljasper, but couldn’t because we had no run support. It’s still a problem today.

In LSU women’s sports, how frustrating we could not win a softball NC with the one-two punch of Hoover and Walljasper.
Almost as frustrating as Pokey failing to win a WBB NC with Sylvia Fowles and Seimone Augustus in her starting five.
If you could have given those Augustus-Fowles teams to Kim Mulkey, she would have crushed Tennessee and Pat Summit.

This was not the kind of team Beth needs to lose to first weekend of the season. But going into the season I think everyone knew, once again, we don't have the hitters to get us over the hump. We seemed to have reached a plateau- will always be a good team, but never great enough to be a champion. Could replacing Dobson help? Maybe, but while Beth is too good to be let go with her record, you wonder if she may be pressured to make a move.
