God forbid you say this during a game we're losing

I don't know, it sure is with the pitching.

All hail Alan Dunn!

Through 16 games last year, we had 15 steals in 23 attempts. Right now we have 31 steals in 37 attempts.

So we're on pace to double our steal total. Good god

Bregman has already matched his stolen base total from last year.

Been meaning to ask you this. Do you think they're given the green light at 2B? 3 times now, he's tried to steal 3B with 2 outs. He's gotten away with it twice, but I'm not a fan. But it seems like it's a read on the pitcher that the runner makes and isn't a call from the dugout. Thoughts?

I think Bregman, Stevenson and probably Laird are given the green light on the bases. Everyone else probably not.

I don't think there is any question. Several players have had the green light under Mainieri, but it is usually only one each season. This year there appears to be 3 or 4, and he's calling for it more often even with some others on top of that.

I think I saw Fraley do it once too. Might be mistaken.

Could be. He may have a green light too.

Zardon caught that bug this weekend as well.

Swings at a lot of breaking pitches out of the zone. Sunday Nebraska was feeding him breaking balls and he actually laid off a couple.

We sat behind home plate not far from the section with the MLB scouts. I happened to look over at them after Bregman stole third on Sunday. Lots of them were scribbling notes.

I think his stock went up in their eyes after watching him over the weekend. He was zoned in and hitting the ball on the nose. Several good plays on defenses including the last out.

"Good at baseball. Aggressive on the bases. Funny haircut."

I don't watch as much baseball as a lot of you in this thread so maybe I'm wrong here, but it seems like Bregs has more bad luck with hits than anyone on the team. I have already seen him crush the frick out the ball at least 4 times for outs this year.
