Canda's offense seems it would be the perfect match for a D.T. qb.

I know M. Brennan is the favorite around here. However, watching the game, it was evident that if we had a qb with running ability, there were big plays to be had.

I just think, if Canada is going to be our O.C. going forward, If they can get a quality d.t. qb that can pass the ball when needed and run it effectively, this offense will be very hard to stop.

lsu has a history of struggling on the o-line, a d.t. qb would help the offense as well.

I hate dual threat QB's, most don't pan out..... You are right though.

If he was calling design runs for Etling that were effective, then I believe you. Lowell Narcisse might be a good QB to explore for the system

Luckily, we have one on the roster. At the very minimum next year there should be a package or two installed for him to give defenses a different look and to see what he can do.

I agree as well. The version of offense we saw Saturday would work best with a D.T. qb.

Canada has a pro-style version that relies on timing passes and accuracy. It requires some passes to be fit into tight windows.

I think there is room to have MB and LN running their own offense the fits them.

Seriously? In the NFL maybe. Guys like Michael Vick, Vince Young, Lamar Jackson, Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, Johnny Manziel and Deshawn Watson all seemed to work out pretty well in college.

lol, what? There was at least one obviously designed run for Etling, and he got the first down. There would be more if it were Narcisse under center.

Yeah, this is about college and winning at this level. We need QB's that help LSU produce at a high-level. The NFL can take care of itself.

The only type of QB that can beat Bama right now. A dual threat. A & M even played em tough with mond back there. We've been trying to get a dual threat all the way back to periloux- although he threw it better. We brought in that Randall kid from Oregon, jordan Jefferson, Lindsey Scott, Jennings, Harris. We just haven't had one good enough. Hopefully narcisse can at least be good enough to have some packages next year.

I agree, however, we didn't have an offense designed for one either. There was some option, draws, etc that could have went for huge yardage with a better runner at qb. D.E. got 10 to 12, however, a good athlete could have gotten 15 to 20. That really forces the defenses hand.

Saturday's offense had florida spread out and making them bust some assignments. A little better athlete could really exploit this.

Watson, Dak, Cam, Alex Smith, Rogers are all DT QBs that are playing at an elite NFL level

It was very telling that Narcisse traveled to Florida. I think if Etling goes down, we're going to see a 2 QB system with Brennan and Narcisse. I don't see any other reason for Narcisse to travel to Florida.

You two seem like being low key dicks. You can't fool me!

It's an observation based on the game. When they were calling designed runs, options, and draws, call me crazy, I thought it would be more effective if there was a guy that could actually run.

Unlike a lot on this board, I don't have a favorite for qb. I trust the coaches know who is best and will play the one who gives us the best chance to win.

I saw an offense the stretched the field from sideline to sideline. A offense that was able to get guys free by confusing florida and having guys wide open on pass plays and the qb was free and clear when runs were called. Had we had a little better athlete, I think we could have made them pay even more.

I recognize, once they had three true freshman playing on the line, the offense was limited.

Maybe, Just maybe, it's why they were trying to get the kid that committed to U.G.A. and why they are still after the kid in Shreveport.
