I have to admit, I did not know who Matt Canada was before he was mentioned as an OC candidate, but after looking at Youtube clips and doing research, I think Canada was the better hire.

A big factor is had LK been successful here, he would have been gone and/or would be shopping for a new job after next year.Neither good for recruiting. Canada is in a position to improve his reputation but he does need more experience before taking the next step up in the ranks. He'll be here longer.

I remember how many people were in love with Kiffin on this board. Never understood it. Funny how quickly everyone's opinion changed when he didn't come here. Kiffin wouldn't have been a bad hire at all, but i wanted Canada because i felt like he had more upside. Very happy with the hire.
