Coach Orgeron says Matt Canada only called around 10% of the offense last night. So, for those of y'all not satisfied with that 480 yards of offense, hope springs eternal.

Sorry if Germans

What I found interesting was that Canada's approach had BYU playing soft zone all night. They couldn't be very aggressive. So, Canada nickel and dimed them over and over and took what they gave him.

BYU is a bad team. Make no mistake. But, what I saw last night out of the offense was above my expecations. The only way I would have been more impressed is if our goal line offense had performed better.

It may have been a different formation or different shift, but if you really paid attention you would realize that they only ran maybe 12-18 actually different plays

Oh oh, hope O's offensive decisions this season won't make us go back to his bottom feeder days at Ole Miss or we'd be fricked.

So if we are going by the numbers stated, the playbook could consist of 150+ plays. I just dont buy that. Who knows though? I dont think we will know.

Im very happy with the win though

There are only two persons calling offensive plays in a fb team: OC and HC and the ultimate decision of a play usually comes from the HC. Who's else you think calling the other 90% last night?

He took what BYU gave him and kept using plays that were working.

If only the passing game was open, we'd throw it more than run it.

This is exactly what you want in an OC and exactly what Dave Aranda does on D.

Also I loved the tempo change up mid drive. Really caught BYU off guard a few times for easy gains.

Actually, 10% of the plays from the game plan...which probably on consists of 25-50% of the playbook.

Hopefully he'd go 36-0 at Minnesota so we might need him here at LSU.

That means we have no game experience with 90% of playbook.

You do understand that Canada has a history at other schools and other coaches can get the film from his past to see his offense.
