You can't act like there isn't a significant overlap of fandom between those two teams. LSU would sell more tickets/concessions moving the game earlier.

When I was at LSU my friends who were basketball fans could not care less about the Saints. Then again most of my friends were athletes and not from LA. Just did not realize there was much of an overlap between LSU and Saints fans. Even now most of the people I know either gravitate towards collegiate sports or the NFL.

I remember missing the Saints@Vikings in January 2001 to see Alabama@LSU at PMAC. That was the game where Rod Grizzard was a dick.
