Can we talk about TGBFTL's halftime performance this past weekend?

That was the best the band has sounded in a long time IMO. I thought they picked good, recognizable songs and spelling out the full "Tigers" was a nice touch.
Maybe I was just in a good mood from Harris' TD pass though

It was good.
Student section was singing along with two of the songs.
I think the band plays a lot of songs that are/were popular, but they just don't sound good when they are being played by a band of brass and woodwind instruments.
We Will Rock You was perfect. Fans can sing along, that song is all about the music and not the lyrics, and it's fun.

I thought the performance was better than usual. No Latin or show tunes was a plus.

They were great. I figured that starting the set with "Fat Bottomed Girls" would stir up the SJW's, but I guess they aren't familiar with the tune

I agree with this, I enjoyed it. I'm not asking the powers in charge to become as entertaining as the SWAC bands or as coordinated as Ohio States band. Just play some damn songs that people know and can sing along with. Makes for a much more entertaining halftime than 40's show tunes.

I want to hear a full version of Fat Bottomed Girls. It's a perfect plant and play song. Someone can arrange a full version and play it in the stands.

I think that TGBFTL has been sub par. Before all the games I have barely been able to hear them from the nosebleeds
