Anybody wish we had Minter back? He has been the most missed departed Tiger thus far. He could singlehandedly almost shut a RB down. Where is that this yaer? I know its been discussed at nauseam, but does anybody think DJ or any LB on this team could fill his shoes.......NO. Filling those shoes is what worries me most against Gurley.

All LSU has to do is jump on top of the dawgs. An early double-digit lead kills the UGA run game (their greatest asset) because (FOOTBALL 101 ALERT!) when teams are down they throw more frequently to catch up as quick as possible -in theory. Ipso facto, more Murray throws means less Gurley runs. Tigers can easily stop him, he's no McFadden

Can we stop Gurley Man?
Do we have a better defense than North Texas?

SCUe has a mediocre D this year and they couldn't stop him and when you load the box to try Murray has a field day with the receivers.
FIFY.
Stop Gurley on the way to Murray. Just don't let Gurley win the game and focus on taking Murray out of it.
Gurley gets his. Make sure Murray is uncomfortable and LSU wins.

how, do commas, affect how, you, read, a sentence?

THAT us the question of the day. Our offense will score many points. But from what I've seen of Gurley Mahn, he is just that. A grown arse man. I say Gurley gets his, and the Tigahs win those game that becomes known as "the shoot out in the bushes".
Tigahs 37
Dawgs 35
Gurley Mahn goes off though for 167 on 23 totes.

North Texas did an ok job of slowing him down.
Yes they slowed him down buy loading the box he still got almost a 100 yards before they sent in the second string and as I said Murray had a field day with the receivers.
GO DAWGS

new original nickname!
you are kidding right?
To the original question, based on what AU did running between the tackles I am very concerned about this. Mason with 132 yards and they had no passing game.
Gurley is the real deal. I'm not convinced Hill is better. But of course I watch the UGA games.

Why are people so worried about Gurley?
Same reason people are worried about Hill.
Gurley is averaging 6 yards per carry against way better competition than we have faced.
Clemson, USCe and North Texas
TCU, UAB, Kent State.
One of these is not like the other.
He and Hill look very similar.

I think he is the only one that I wish had stayed for real. he isn't even active the past 2 weeks for the cards. I think he should have stayed he would have been a 1st or second rounder and made a run at all types of college awards and titles.
