If the only argument/problem is that he just hasn't played enough football yet then we need to just try it anyway because what we're putting out at tackle right now doesn't look like they know how to play football anyway.

Not sure if Okeke should be the one, but I would not be opposed to giving him playing time this week, just not starting.

But the play at both tackle positions last week was terrible, and must be addressed. Moving Pocic to LT is something to definitely consider.

I applaud your desperate scramble for a change but we could field the 2009 Saints and this coach could still find a way to FUBAR. It doesnt matter who is out there on the field. Peoples only focus should be on a coaching change. The rest is a distraction from that goal.

Just based on spring game, I don't think he's ready. I would like to see his growth though.

But yes, OLINE is major concern

If he's not on the field it's for a reason. Left tackle is the position that requires the greatest athleticism.

Right, let's arbitrarily pick backups and replace the starters with them. It's a common thing in football that if you just leave your best players on the bench the backups will probably do better. That's why the greatest players, such as Jerry Rice and Barry Sanders, hardly ever got to play.

Okay. Perhaps starting him would be unfair. But I'd just like to see him play. It really can't be that much worse.

because you know better than the coaches or you just want another former 5* in the lineup?

There were several threads that he quit but all were axed. Not sure if it's true or not

AGREED!

I'd like to hear arguments not supporting this.

Les refuses to let live, in game experience break a player in...and this is all while the team isn't great and we're losing to even lesser teams.

I know why...Les isn't capable of learning on the go. We primary identify with ourselves, and this causes us to believe that others are more like ourselves than they might be in reality. Just because Les can't do something doesn't mean others can't, as well. He doesn't get this, of course.

Andy Dodd has been in the program long enough to be considered for the starting center job. I know he's the first replacement, but jeez.

How about this: other coaches know better than our coaches.

Now consider that other coaches start raw prospects all the time in order to give them experience, break them in, and help them to reach their full potential.

Also, YOU know less than both our coaches and other coaches.

Absolutely! We can't let the momentum to get rid of this clown escape this year. Focus!

Great! Another idiot who makes patently false statements. Let me just mention a few guys who started their very first games as TRUE FRESHMEN:

Odell Beckham
Jalen Mills
Mike Divinity (IN THE VERY GAME YOU'RE CRITICISING)

Jesus Christ, these idiots are going to give me a coronary.

Hell yeah. I thought he could get the nod once they were adamant about keeping Pocic at OC (why not try Dodds or Clapp), and Teuhema got injured, but they confused me when they put Malone out there.

I would also like to see Brumfield on the field at some point.

Nobody likes you.

I was referring to the OL and Okeke. I didn't say he's never started a true freshman. Oh, and Okeke isn't a true freshman either.

You need to give up, man...been reading your crap for years...your opinions are typically in the 5-10% range, and you're nearly always wrong about stuff.
