to make a change, first at AD and then coach. We are at 5 so I will go with 8 to 9 max. We will hit that no problem.

it just isn't rational to fire someone for losing to 1 team

I know it sucks, but lets try to remain somewhat rational please

If we go 11-1 with our one loss to Bama for the next 10 years he'd still have a job.

One is too many for me. It wouldn't hurt so much if it didn't cost us a chance at the division each year.

Saban will be at Bama for at least 10-15 more years, so there is that.

If this was Michigan or Ohio State he would be gone. What keeps him around is the fact that outside of one coach he's been very successful at LSU

This is an impossible question to answer without knowing other factors.

If we are 11-1 every year for the next 5 years with that one loss to Alabama, I would be completely fine with it so long as it means appearances in the national championships and SEC championships.

To be completely honest though, barring a mass exodus from the team after this season, there is absolutely zero excuse to lose to them next year. We will be the more talented team playing at home. If we lose that one, it will be solely because of poor decision making from our AD to the head coach to the coordinators.

I answered the question

if LSU loses to Bama for the next 20 years but wins every other game, nobody should be fired because it isn't rational

You'd be great for Pepsi to accept 2nd best.

that doesn't make any sense

the premise of this thread is that if LSU went 11-1 for the next 5 years but Bama went 1-11

Miles should be fired for that 1 loss just because its Bama

My criteria(for Miles) is 4 consecutive years without being in the mix for the playoffs or playing in an SECCG.

eta:This year would be #4 but going into this season my feeling because of the age of this team was that this season or next we should compete for a NC and make it to an SECCG.
