Can we get some clarification regarding the program?

Wade is doing great in recruiting. We have top ten talent. He can do better on the bench.

I’ve been asking this question to the retards saying to fire Wade, but they have yet to provide me with an answer. These people simply don’t know the game of basketball, and all they can do is sky scream any time LSU plays a bad game.

The answer is simple. The people screaming to have him fired don't know anything about basketball and have no clue what to say. They parrot the fact that they have all determined he can't coach from the bench. But they couldn't tell you one single thing that he lacks in regard to that. They can't tell you what musselman did that Wade didn't. All they can tell you is that we lost and that means he should be fired. Ignore them.

Just hire whoever won the national championship last year, that'll solve all our problems.

The simple fact is some bandwagon fans, who ironically started watching because of Wade’s success, are not willing to understand that you can’t go from 2-16 in the SEC to the final 4 every year in a couple seasons. They don’t understand the landscape of college basketball, they think LSU basketball is the same as football or baseball and they’re not willing to wait for the program to be built, which is the only way we’re going to get there. The only programs that have gone to where we were to the top took over a decade to build but these people refuse to acknowledge or accept that. Btw Wade is ahead of all those programs paces.

Don't confuse these folks with logic...

So I have answered this several times throughout the year but I haven’t found a Wade supporter to have an intelligent conversation with on the subject. Usually they say stupid stuff like “you just want final fours every year” or “you want an undefeated season in basketball”. That is usually the most intelligent response you get back.


First next year is the Wade proving year in my opinion. He shouldn’t be fired until after an evaluation with what should be his best team.

My concerns: his players always have a tendency to play out of control. Rarely do his players improve from freshman year. (I get this can be debatable).

On coaches to hire this is hard to say as you never know who to expect is available but based on his record at LSU, in Woodward I trust.

Cooley and medved would be two top names but I think scott would have some better names show up too.

Standards: reasonably being a top 40ish team to make the tournament almost every year is fair. A top 16 team every 3 years. A top 8 in there every 5 to 6 years. A final 4 type run once a decade.

Sorry to mess up your spin but I need to clarify this statement. We finished in a 5 way tie for 5th place. Meaning 10 teams finished in the top 5 of the SEC this year.
