Yep, just look at USCe last year. I think they got swept by UK and then got swept by someone else the week after. They almost won the SEC.

Only if you're looking for an incorrect answer.

Can this baseball team make it to Omaha?

I don't think we've ever lost 2 consecutive SRs at home

Well considering we have only lost 1 super regional at home ever...

Oh shiiiite! you're right!
I should have said the championship game of Regionals too (before they had SRs).

We never lost one of those either

We were eliminated by CSF in 92 and 95, but not in the championship game.

We were eliminated by Rice in 2005 at home as well, but they had SR by then.

LSU didn't ever lose a deciding game in post season play at home until pretty recently. Maybe 2005 to Rice?

LSU had to beat Rice twice in 2005 and lost the first game so technically it wasn't the deciding game.

Agreed. I remember last year many thought USCe was going to tank after first two SEC weekends, then they went on a run and still got a national seed.

I do think MSU series is a measuring stick but I will measure on more than just a series win. I expect it to go 2-1 one way or the other in a highly competitive series.

A little too early obviously but this team certainly looks Omaha capable.

Yea he is definitely not pulling his weight with that on base percentage of over 400.

Isn't getting on base part of "hitting"?? Along with having patience and taking walks and striking out less and having a good overall approach at the plate?

I guess people like you look at ONLY a player's batting average to determine whether or not they are good instead of actually watching the games to realize he has run into a bit of bad luck in some games this season

You are an idiot. He is getting solid contact, and the balls aren't falling right now. Regardless hit or walk, on base is on base. Or are you unaware of the importance of base runners?

Haha that's the truth, half the people are clueless when complaining about Jones. Finding a way to get on base is all that matters. As long as you find a way to do it. Go back and review the tape from last year as well. He seems to come up clutch when we need him most. When the game is in the balance I have Jones as one of the top 3 guys I would want at the plate.
