Can someone explain to me how a team gets called for delay of game

on the SECOND fckng play from scrimmage (for them)? We ran a basic iso play off tackle with LF, got 1 yard, then could not get a second play called in time. Please explain to me how that happens? The first 7-10 plays are scripted and as basic as our offense is, they got confused and couldn't decide what to run?

I knew at that point it would probably be a long night. The Porter snap for a near reverse FG sealed it.

Cam had to figure out which handoff to the RB would be most effective against the 10 man wall of humanity. Once he did, Jennings had to yell the play to every lineman, then he had to pat the right side of his arse just to make sure the defense knew what side to go to if they already didn't.

Luckily for LF, he didn't fit that package, so Magee had to live the nightmare.

It was that play that made me realize we were fricked. The entire offense should've known the 2nd play last Tuesday.
