So is it true that Brandon Sampson, Ben Simmons, and Antonio Blakney are all draft eligible after their freshman year? I don't pay a lot of attention to NCAA basketball so be gentle.

It's a NBA rule, and yes for all 3 assuming they're all 19 at that point.

It's better than them just skipping college altogether and going pro, and I understand the reason they do that, but it's one of the main reasons I stopped being interested in college basketball. I want to get excited for this class, and it will be fun to watch, but really bittersweet knowing this is their only year.

Simmons is gone, once he puts on weight and muscle, will be a stud player in NBA.
Blakeney is gone too.

Sampson will at least come back one more year probably.

It's helped the NBA tremendously. Way too many people were skipping college and coming to the NBA despite not being physically or mentally ready.

Guys like Shabazz Muhammad would've been consensus #1 picks if they didn't play one year in college to show what they really are.

It also helps grow the nba brand and get college fans to follow the nba

Wish they stayed 2 years. I love college basketball, but never watch NBA games.

Is because I don't know many of the kids who are playing. They don't stay long enough to remember.

One and done. Wasn't in effect for Kobe and 'Bron, but changed a few years ago. Basically ensures Kentucky has a new starting 5 every year.

That's correct. The way they're playing now. Simmons will go #1 no doubt. Blakney will be a lottery pick and Sampson will go in the 1st.

Antopnio Blankney is under-sized for an NBA SG.

He should be here at least two years

Will staying 2 years make him grow?

He's likely gone after this year
