It's an attempt to get the defense to show their hand and to get more LSU players on the side of the field that they intend to run the play to than the defense has

That's conventional thought. Problem is we generally, as in almost every time, run to the weak side with inadequate personnel to block the defensive end, outside linebacker and whomever else comes up after watching us do this for three straight games.

Last night I ball park estimated the number of times we did this after shifting the tackle and tight end to one side of the other and got 75%. A few times we did the jet sweep to the strong side, but mostly not.

Who the hell is fooled by any of this or are we saving the real reason for a really good team...ha ha.

pre snap reads of man or zone and it makes somebody account for motion guy so he can be used then used as a decoy later. those that still do not get it just do not know football. which is plenty here.

, it is in no way an advantage for LSU to run it every damn play. Defenses aren't even responding half the time. It's a gimmick.

It removes a blocker or two so we gain 3 yards instead of 7.

Canada think Miles' offense was too efficient.

Some, like yourself, blame Miles for this shite show. I am sorry, but O was a major contributor to recruiting during Miles final two years. Most of the OL and DL transfers have occurred under the great O. So where did he do a "damn fine job"? They seemed to do ok after taking over last year with what Miles left them, but this is O's product now and, whether you want to believe it or continue to blow O, it's pretty much what most fans expected. Miles definitely contributed, but this is O's team. It's O's team crapping in the bed in 2017. So, bull shite all you want.

It's not creating confusion or mismatches. It's pointless.

I agree. RARELY do you the defense even move from where they set up to begin with.

Maybe it's time for LSU to just set up and play instead of trying to confuse their opponent.

Amen.

Bring back the I formation.

They don't have to shift. They already know what to expect.
