Can Simmons, Blakeney, Victor, etc. hit big free throws and finish games?

And maybe Newman, if the Tigers are fortunate enough to sign him--looks like they've got a chance.

The answer will obviously come next season. And are the returning players capable of doing what it takes so what happened last night won't be repeated?

Thats why setting expectations for next year are pointless and lead to reactions similar to last night.

These kids are in highschool, who knows if they have what it takes. Odds are they dont, thats just statistics.

The only factor that can make a difference year in and year out is the coach.

Simmons is about the same free throw shooter as Mickey and Martin. He will probably shoot about 70%

How are we supposed to know? How do you determine something like that?

I once saw Ben Simmons team down by 10 with 5 seconds to go. He scored 12 points in 4 seconds. The other team walked off the court as time expired.

Better question is do any of these kids want the ball at the end of the game. Supposedly, Simmons has the Jordan/Kobe mentality of wanting to take that shot. Hopefully he carries it over and has success in taking it.

So, based on your comment, fans should plan to use that excuse if our season next year turns out like this year.

Well, that ought to pack the PMAC, not.

Simmons is atrocious at FT's. With that said, around the country, centers on average are probably around 65-70%. That's normally where Mickey is, but he just missed.

It's about pressure not being able to make FT's. Mickey has never come close to experiencing pressure like that in his entire life, hopefully he comes back and has learned from it

Wow,

Ben Simmons will not choke like Mickey at the FT Line... He was throwing bricks as his eyes might have been closed....

Nerves and he could not control them

Hopefully we wont be worried about freethrows at the end of games with that lineup
