Neil Farrell is the only player we have that has opted out. Everyone else quit to go to the NFL.

Any player that opts out should have his scholarship revoked and removed from campus.

Yes, there’s not much of a reason not to opt out. Who wouldn’t want a full year of room and board, all you can eat in the sports nutrition center, and all you have to do is maintain a 2.0 average taking 9 hours of PE classes.

This season yes because of thr Covid stuff. Would be a bad look to throw a student sthlete to the curb who is scared of covid. So im sure some guys are taking advantage of it.
Normal years id say no, their scholarship would be pulled but Chase isn't staying in Baton Rouge and going to school. He will be in AZ or somewhere at an elite training facility

My understanding is that the decision cannot be reversed. Of they announce an opt out, they are done for 2020. They do remain on scholarship, but do not count towards the 105.

Vanderbilt star linebacker Dimitri Moore was one of four Commodores players to opt-out of the 2020 college football season earlier this month due to COVID-19 concerns. The senior has had a change of heart. Moore announced on Instagram that he has opted back in to the team and will join his teammates as they get ready for the abbreviated season.
