I'm sure ESPN ratings will do just fine without your TV tuned in

The ratings aren't that good. That's why college baseball is under other sports on espn.

They need to move in the outfield fences and move to wooden bats.

That solves the problem. It brings back the long ball and there's no safety excuses.

So did anybody complain last year? The year before?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that ESPN has been griping about the lack of home runs for ~2-3 years now, at least as long as the CWS has been in the new stadium. Frankly, it nauseated me watching us lose to UCLA while the announcers proclaimed that their offensive model is to "wait until the other team makes a mistake" (which we did twice). Considering that UCLA went undefeated and proved to be the small-champion of all-time, ESPN by itself will get the baseballs changed to the tighter minor league baseballs next year. And yes, there were times watching all these 1-0, 2-1 games that I felt like I was watching softball...

I have the solution if nothing changes.

If LSU is not in, I won't watch.

If LSU is in, I will record the games and watch them later. I fast forward through everything except when LSU is at bat.

I keep seeing this.....you realize that a double down the lines or to the gap is penalizing the pitcher for the high pitch as well right

where, and in which game did you ever see a double down the lines or a shot to the gap!? anything hit in the outfield hung in the air for a year and a day to allow the outfielder to camp under the fly ball... something needs to be done. re-ramp up the bats, get us the minor league ball or something. because small ball ISN'T college baseball. never has the CWS been so boring than it has been the past 3 years, with AND without LSU

No point in arguing with these guys, dude.

When the TV ratings for the CWS plummet, the NCAA will make the moves needed to protect the monetary value of their product.

It may take a few years for the peckerwoods at the NCAA to make the right move, but, they will eventually move.

I have watched the CWS most of my life.
I agree with the previous poster--unless something
changes--I'll only be watching only when LSU is in it.
Otherwise---BOOOOOOORRRRRRRIIIINNNNNNGGGGG.
