Holman is most likely. Montgomery would be a surprise, but knowing Jay he can make it happen. Montgomery’s side has been quiet the entire time

Holman seems imminent.
Montgomery nobody knows. We have a stacked outfield: if Montgomery were to come, idk who would go where. Maybe try Pearson at 2B. But Montgomery, mac, and a kling would be a sick outfield if Kling takes a jump with the bat.

I’m not sure who’d go where. I do feel like Pearson could move to infield easier than the rest. He can play anywhere and is an elite hitter

We won’t have a Skenes but the weekend rotation should be sturdier top to bottom, especially if Holman does come aboard.
And of course that fact is in light of Hurd and Floyd not really hitting their strides until postseason. Had we had Omaha Floyd and Hurd from the get-go, we might have gone undefeated on weekends.

But the SEC strike zone did help in the post season. It shrunk our pitchers zone and we got the calls later in the season. Especially guys like Hurd and Floyd.

What is the cutoff date for the Portal, I’ve heard Aug 1, 5pm EDT but have no idea if that is factual. All of this has to end sometime in order to get fall started with all the pieces in place. I know we would love to have both guys but I’d sure be happy with Holman.
