What say you ranters? Not saying putting up the numbers but just total improvements in all areas. Boykin was so bad last year he played WR the last few games last year. But now he is a monster.

Not unless he figures out how to throw the football with more velocity and learn a different throw than the lob pass to Dural on the sideline or screen to Neighbors.

Unless we go to an air raid offense, no

We don't need an air raid offense, just more polished quarterback play.

TCU is supposedly running the air raid. We're definitely not running that.

The dude has a weak arm, bad pocket presence, does not go through his reads (where is 83), and not even fast for a DT Qb.

I don't think so...I doubt as talented and LSUs scheme is not as wide open to say the least. I do think AJ can improve. I've said for a couple of months now I think AJs top end is a Hutson Mason(UGA) type player as far as the passing game. AJ is probably a better runner, but nothing that will wow anyone.

He's also an upperclassmen. Much more room for coaching.

themunch-I think Jennings can be a serviceable quarterback. Having a strong arm does not equate to winning championships. Hell McCarron didn't have a great arm but he was a championship caliber quarterback. Even LSU national Championship winning quarterback Matt Mauck didn't have a cannon, but he was serviceable.

Now with that being said, I think Brandon Harris upside is off the charts, but it's totally up to him to grab the bull by the horns.

That would require someone who can develop a quarterback.

No. You could see Boykins talent when we played TCU last year. He was the more effective QB in that game last year, but he was very raw. This year he's a little more refined and his talent shines in that offense. Jennings does not have the physical talent, accuracy, arm strength, or decision making of Boykin to make that leap.

Let's hope so because once CLM has his mind made up he'll go down with the ship with that QB.
