My son is a freshman band member and I was wondering about bringing a DSLR into the stadium. Any issues with cameras or zoom lenses?

There are some posted rules of how big of a camera and lens you can bring in the stadium. I forget where it's posted at. I've brought in my camera several times. If your lens is bigger than the allotment, separate and bring in 2 bags so that they won't stop you. My thoughts

Cameras are allowed in TS for personal use. See 2015 Fan Guide

2015 LSU Football Fan Guide

On page 15 of the pdf view you will see a section for "Cameras." If you print it out it is page 22.
Looks like you can do what you want as long as it is for personal use. Otherwise use of photos of NCAA athletes is prohibited and is a violation of NCAA rules.
