I agree, the silly thing is that LSU does not even have a coach lined up to take Les place. The recruits all falling like flies, and I don't blame them. I think the LSU fan base needs to fire themselves, somewhere along the line LSU fans convinced themselves LSU had Bama's past national ships.

Why do so many of you concede everything to Alabama, like they have some God-given right to rule the SEC, while the rest of the teams just lap up the table scraps. Tuscaloosa is a giant trailer park full of inbred Harvey Updykes, and we need to get over this insane cowering before them!

There were plenty of people like you that wanted to keep Dinardo for the exact same reasons... Scared to take a chance at getting someone better.

I find the debate to be strangely bifurcated:

a. Fire Miles now.
b. Give him one more year.

There is a middle way. If he beats TAMU and wins the bowl game give him another year.
If he loses either of those 2 games, fire him.

Does that sound reasonable to anyone up in here?

I get as frustrated as others, but I see nothing but downside to running Miles out of town. Should there be changes, yes. But I don't see us having a better coach once this all shakes out.

So, you are not only happy with recent results, but the results in the future from the downward trend?

No, there weren't. Everyone wanted Dinardo gone. Dinardo's record was no where near that of Miles.

While I do agree that Miles is not the best coach out there and he has his faults. But he is a proven winner and has the ability to recruit nfl talent. While I don't like his style or scheme, LSU is in the position to be great next year. We will have more returning starters next year than we have had in a long time. I think he deserves one more year. You're looking at probably more than 20 million dollars for a new coach. 15 to miles 2 to his assistance plus whatever coach you hire will have a multi million dollar buyout. Seems like a big waste of money to me.

Has the last few weeks, seasons been any more fun?

They were both painful, and CLM will continue to make it painful.

My mother's social security check is more than those two guys salary combined.

LSU will by themselves a good coach

What makes you think he will change? How many opportunities has he had to change and adjust? I just don't get why people think he will change when he has never shown a willingness to do so.

It all boils down to who you can get. I am like a lot of people here who have support for the Tigers. Look bottom line I supported Gerry Dinardo until he was incapable of moving LSU forward. I think we are there with Les. I don't like it but it is what it is.

Negative... There were lots of folks that wanted to give him "one more year". Sound familiar? They were surely fewer in number than the current pumpers, but they were out there.

^^^^^^^^^^ THIS

We are crazy for even considering getting rid of Miles. He's the best we've ever had.
