the AP poll should just go away and holds no meaning to me whatsoever.

You think it should go away just because it holds no meaning for you?

Narcissistic much?

How about this instead - just don't look at the AP poll and then you won't have to worry about if it holds meaning for you or not. After all, no one's forcing you to look at it. For example, when you see "AP poll" or "AP writer" in the subject line, you can just move along to the next topic.

Should be fun to see how many teams have parentheses after their ranking this week. This guy is probably alone on LSU, but it will be nice to see- 12. LSU (1).

I don't think there will be many changes as far as No. 1 votes. I think most voters will keep things status quo.

I actually think we are going to see more flip flopping week to week than ever before. The culture in CFB media is way more (over) reactive week to week these days.

Good for him, actually ranking a team based on what he sees on the field. I'm guessing that since AP rankings don't really matter anymore you will see more people make bold picks.

A number 1 vote after 1 week of football? Hell yeah! LSU should be proud. Such praise counts as a National Title in Alabama's book.

I'm shocked that a writer from a Left Coast newspaper ranked LSU as #1. There is so much hateful envy among the media toward the SEC out here. I remember another writer for that paper appearing on 1 of those ESPN shows w/ multiple media members back in late Dec '03. That joker was adamant that U$C should've been headed to NOLA to play Choke-lahoma. When asked why LSU shouldn't be there, his "brilliant" response was "they can't hang w/ Oklahoma & USC."

that is the guy that people lost their shite about in maybe 2007. He has his own methods, and they are strictly based on the games played.

Maybe the third... A & M and UGA were much more impressive than LSU.

I agree that SCar is overrated but as the media sees it, Texas am went in and won a game they weren't supposed to. My point was most teams did not look great week 1. We should make large improvements these next few games.

IMO, they overreacted with the loss of Manziel/Matthews/Evans, and then overreacted with the win by TAMU Saturday. This is the same type of team that Sumlin had at Houston. The only difference is he has way more talent on this team. He has recruited the hell out of his scheme and it has worked for 8 years, through now his 5th QB. It's plug and play Air Raid with actual high WR talent. No 2 and 3 star guys like most air raid systems have.

His defense may be slightly better, but even in 2012 at their house, they couldn't beat us. I have them beating Bama, both East opponents, OOC cupcakes and toss ups with Ole Miss and MSU. I say they finish 9-3 or 10-2 with losses to Auburn, LSU, and maybe one more.

I think Bama finishes third or fourth in the West, while I'm at it.
