If you recall I made a post looking for LSU/Saints memorabilia to give to this young man when we meet up to goto the US Army All American Game. Caleb is 5 years old and battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I've been able to get them a meet and greet with the players and have set up this fund to help curve the cost of their trip to San Antonio. The funds raised will goto pay for hotel room, gas, food, and I would like to put together a "bowl package" for Caleb and his brother that would consist of All American helmet, jersey w/ their names, football to get signed when they meet the players -- depending on how much money is raised will depend on the size of the prize pack. Any funds that are left over will be donated to the treatment facility that Caleb is being treated at in Texas.

Some items that I am considering for the "bowl prize pack" -- the bigger the fund, the more I can include in the prize pack.

$515.00 --- Texas Aggies have made all the donations today. In spite of playing against LSU in the Cotton Bowl.

I work out of town quite a bit and have acquired plenty of hotel points. My email is toddg@pedalvalve.com. Send me an email to correspond with you I would be more than happy to donate the hotel room for the weekend.

$790.00 --- Your Cotton Bowl rival, Texas A&M, has accounted for about 85% of that.

Unfortunately, we live in a world where the internet provides an incredible opportunity for unscrupulous people to use sick children as a resource for stealing money. You will notice that neither of the links provided give you a name for “wareagle044” or a direct contact number, and his User Profile lacks the same info. I understand why many here are hesitant to “donate”.

Do I have your undivided attention? Now follow this link and learn who is behind this:

OK, now open your wallets and show those Auburn yahoos what real Tigers can do!

Pietra,

You are correct. Thanks for providing that link. A little about me: I'm a junior at Auburn University majoring in Animal Sciences. Originally from College Statin, TX (sorry I do like the Aggies), went to high school in Amarillo, TX, and joined the Army in 2004. I started the shon coleman tribute fund ( LINK ) while i was deployed with my reserve unit last year. I completed a 26.2 km road march with an auburn flag flying in Shon's honor. Caleb's aunt is an Auburn alumnus and showed Caleb's mother the effort because he has the same form of cancer as Shon. Caleb's mom contacted me offering her support and encouragement. The Army gave me tickets to the All American game and I want to provide my support and encouagement to Caleb and his family. If you would prefer to make a donation directly to the clinic Caleb is being treated at please visit LINK **Caleb is the kid in the red cape.

The fund I have set up for Caleb is to help put togther memorabilia gift pack, pay for food, gas, and other expenses. If you'd prefer to donate a gift card or something then contact me at CNybergTrip@hotmail.com

wareagle - nice cause. I'd responded to your post on the San Antonio Board on Texags, but it appears you've got the hotel covered already?

I do know people in the industry and would be happy to forward along info if it would help.

*applause*
