He was great last night. Didn't notice until the bullpen crumbled like it did, but he shut them down. 4.0 IP, 4 H, and only 1 ER.

Good? Yes. Great? Not even close

He left to many balls over the plate especially when he had two strikes on the batter.

i think he had a "good" outing.... great? not so much. he left a few over the plate that would have different results in SEC play

All we need from a 4th starter is "good" he's not going to be throwing against aces. If he can give us 5-6innings of 3 run baseball we can win every game he pitches

We would not have run the same relief pitchers out there for an SEC game.

If every Gilbert outing is like that one, he'll be All-SEC. He had very good command for most of the night.

And he was scheduled to only pitch 4 innings. If this was mid season he would've went as long as necessary meaning we wouldn't have seen Kiel and strall come in and allow 10 runs
