It's the first game of the season, we simply need to score more points then BYU. I don't care if it's close as long as we come away with the win.

I like our chances with Aranda and Canada on our side. They are both experts at getting the job done. I think Canada puts a premium on starting fast and finishing strong. I think this OC will always want to score TDs on the first drive unlike the previous staff. Your best chance to score is on the first drive of you have a good plan.

The previous staff played for the second half. Les Miles cared not about the first half but just to keep it close. That played into many of our opponents hands and gave them momentum which helped them in the second half. If LSU can take that momentum and keep it, then we can make these teams quit much earlier. I just think we will all see an entirely different LSU team this year.

Personally, I think LSU and coach o are going to make a statement in the byu game and beat the shite out of them. Just my opinion. I just have a really good feeling with this new life in our program. I don't think fans really understand how different this team is going to be. I'm excited. Can byu hang with LSU? sure they can, if we play like shite anyone can. If we play like we are capable, they shouldn't stay withing 2 tds of LSU. Geaux tigers.

Yep. They lost 4 games by a combined total of 8 points and three of those losses were in the first four games.

I wouldn't call the offense against Florida very bad. Mistakes.

The people who compare byu to Wisconsin.... lol

I didn't act like anything.

They were on the schedule, and they beat them. They did what good teams should do.

You specifically listed those teams because you thought it was impressive wins.

Byu will be 2-5, 3-4 at best to start the year.

BYU is not going to be good this year.

Their win total in Vegas is like 10, sooooo you're likely wrong.

They'll likely be 4-3, so yeah, you really don't know what you're talking about.

I would say "noteworthy", not "impressive"...but we're splitting hairs at this point.

LSU beat Miss St 23-20 at home. BYU beat Miss St 28-21 at home. That's our only common opponent from 2016.

Sparty's record was way down, but they lost to Ohio St and Michigan by a combined 10 points. And BYU beat them 31-14 in East Lansing when everyone still had a lot to play for.

Arizona was the worst team in the Pac-12, but BYU beat them in their backyard on opening night when Arizona still thought they were good.

If that is true, then bet the farm on the under. They will have at least 3 losses, probably 4, and possibly 5, after the first 7 games. Check out their schedule.

Lol. I think you will actually be upset when Lsu spanks that arse. It is almost like you are all in on byu.

Boise state and Utah will certainly not be pushovers. My guess is they split those two. Honestly though, as long as Lsu wins, I hope they run the table after that.

The offense against Florida was good.... but not good enough to win the game... I don't care how much they dominated the stat sheet.... that means nothing if you lose....

You're wrong about their win total, soooo thanks dildo.

And also, a win total is definitely always indicative of a team's on field performance

ETA: looking at a Vegas win total for a non power 5 team to determine how good they'll be. What a dumbass.

Their high win total is a function of playing 13 games against an awful schedule. Only 4 games are against power 5 teams. Boise is solid, but the other 8 teams were all .500 or below Group of 5 teams.

Won't have the speed or overall depth of talent. LSU defense will smother them.

Bingo, but offensively I worry bout that offensive line. BYU will have a very good set of linebackers and their defensive line is going to be good.

I think we keep it simple and let our playmakers make plays for the first time in A LONG TIME on the outside to open up the interior for Guice.

Defensively we are going to smoke them out. Unless BYU gets great field position off of turnovers or inept special teams, they aren't driving the field against our defense

Our defensive line is going to be DISGUSTING. I truly believe it will be ugly.

Before we engage in too much chest beating, especially on our new offense, maybe it would be good to reflect on our spring game.
