The whole month of August is a worse wait, plus the heat at that time of the year makes it wayyyyyy longer. Plus we have other football we can watch for now at least, and some replays of this years team so it definitely holds me over for an extra week.

I like it. I get to refresh myself mentally. The season is stressful for the fans...and the players could use a little rest also...I guess

Bye week before Bama...is what we need. No it isn't, with our schedule this year. It would be better if we played Arkansas this week (Arkansas also has a bye week) and Alabama next week as scheduled. The Tigers are on a roll and it would have been best to maintain the momentum going into Alabama. Now, that momentum is broken and we get Arkansas the week after Alabama, just like last year. Y'all saw how that worked out.
