FF Ripkin teaches the very common technique of properly bunting: LINK

We start WAYYYY too horizontal with the bats on our bunts. It's not just one player, it's the whole team with the horizontal bat at the beginning, which means it's coaching.

Maybe they can go to Skip Bertman's Baseball Camp where they used to teach that perfectly.

Just don’t bunt a ball that’s above your bat.

It is when the guy is throwing 95+ and has a nasty breaking ball.

Yea it's super easy. It's not like pitchers throw 95 MPH with 18" of break

Bunting is a lost art. Many teams and leagues, including MLB, are terrible at it. I blame travel ball for not teaching this....Cayden's parents aren't paying thousands a year to sacrifice bunt

If you think our bunting form as a team is good I don't know what to tell you. You're hung up on my use of "easy" and not our terrible technique.

You know what's harder than bunting a 95mph cutter? Bunting a 95mph cutter with shite form.

And Skenes hit 100mph on the miraculous Morgan play.

If you don’t ever do it in games, it’s not easy to execute

Anyone can bunt in practice

Sorry, they'll be busy playing for a National Championship.

Bunting has it's place in the game. Just the threat of being able to bunt forces infielders to play in and makes you a better hitter. IMO the best bunter ever was 18X All Star Rod Carew, who by the way, hit .722 when he bunted and has the AL batting champion trophy named after him. Babe Ruth, Loug Gehrig, Mel ott, Al simmons, Craig Biggio, Robin Yount and Brooks Robinson all had more than 100 sacrifice bunts during their careers. Rogers Hornsby had over 200 sacrifice bunts to go with more than 300 HR's.

Huge difference when you're practicing bunting on a pitching machine throwing 50mph fastballs, and a human throwing an 80mph breaking ball. shite is difficult to get perfect.

Yeah, technique is not hard at all. Now add the game pressure and the 95 mph pitch or the 16” breaking ball int the mix and its damn hard…
