Who are the guys you have confidence with coming out of the bullpen? Obviously, Gilbert is one and Newman when he returns.
I liked what I saw from the freshman, Matthew Beck, today. Dude is a monster!

They will get better as the season goes on. They have already improved from what I've seen.

Bain has looked good. Beck has been a surprise. I keep thinking Reynolds will turn into a consistently reliable reliever. Hopefully he will prove me right. Peterson has a lot of potential but I wouldn't give him the ball in a critical situation right now. He needs to build up his confidence since we will need more depth in the postseason than we have right now. Overall I've liked some things about the bottom half of the bullpen. Just need some consistency.

Behind those 3 I feel like wehave a lot ok guys. Upperclassmen like bain, norman, straw have shown a little promise. And freshmans Hess and Peterson might have it

Before its all said and done LSU may end up with one of its deepest pitching staffs in awhile.

I agree. The problem right now is consistency. Even with Lange. I think they'll get better and won't be considered a negative later in the year.

Beck has been impressive
Bain
Reynolds
Strall

Need more innings midweek to get into groove:
Bush
Peterson
McKay

Kiel - don't know

Frederick - ???

Gilbert & Newman are both good closers

Still don't have much confidence in Strall though I will say he's gotten better. Has McKay pitched this season? If we hadn't lost cartwright I think we'd be in good shape. Last year he was shaping up to be a solid middle reliever which is what we are short on this year. Reynolds is too inconsistent to be reliable but is a good arm to have in the pen anyway. I'll second beck being impressive thus far. Hopefully Peterson will come around. He's young so still a lot of time.

Losing Cartwright was huge IMO
Peterson needs repetition to build up confidence
