that team had some early growing pains, but clicked in the sec, gelled, got hot, and went on a nice run.

i like the way the non conf. schedule sets up with this year's team; i think they'll be greased up by the time sec play begins, though i think they'll be in for more wtf nights in league play.

25 days... until the first waves of fruition begin to splash on the shores of the lakes as a herd of white palomino stallions gallop valiantly, generations of the most vivid, colorful wishes being brought forth post haste

I agree, feel like it'll be State and/or Auburn again, but at least they'll both be much better.

What a ride it's going to be.

Just spotted near the Georgia Dome:

Wayne Sims, Lanard Fournette, Cherokee Parks and David Cutcliffe are practicing their Rochambeau skills while Major Applewhite, Lyle Mouton and Lorenzo Mata are singing "Barbara Ann." Billy Clyde Gillespie is at the Chimes bar drinking "Fresca" and Chase Utley, JC Holt, Cade McNown and Curley Hallman are at the Grand Ole Opry singing an off-tune version of John Denver's "Thank God I'm a Country Boy."

damn I wish we could relive that March every spring when the tournament comes around. The regular season, DMitch's 3, Atlanta weekend, Duke, Texas. Helluva a ride it was.

oh my, if we somehow make it to Houston, can you imagine.

Had the opportunity to go to Atlanta and be in the Georgia Dome for the Duke and Texas victories. Amazing experience! Made the hike to Indianapolis for the Final Four as well. Hell of a trip, but came back home with a huge loss to UCLA. Almost time for some hoops guys! Geaux Tigers!

I've lucky to have attended some great football games, but having attended the Duke,Texas and UCLA games that year ranks right up there.

My freshman year at LSU. That season set the bar entirely too high for the rest of my college experience, unfortunately.

Same here. I'll always remember for the final 4 in Indy we went out to some bar and randomly met Doug Gotlieb. Dude was wasted buying shots for everyone all night

That Houston game was rough, that one kid couldn't miss. The WV, Ohio St, and UCONN games early really helped that team come together for SEC play.

Didn't we miss like 800 free throws that game?

Also was that the Ohio State game that was a classic brady melt blown lead?

We won 27 games, and I remember there were 3-4 incredibly close losses that could have gotten us to 30 wins
