The band did this in 2015 with an odd number of measures and the STTDB part cut out. We tried it at Mississippi State as a test run. The LSU student section still chanted, even in the wrong spot. And so, Neck is out indefinitely.

Les's favorite school song was "Neck" (actually not kidding, "Pregame" is second). "Neck"'s ban cane from Alleva, not Miles. Miles lobbyed for its return, but was overruled.

When there was national outrage over the visiting band lunacy, the situation was quickly reversed.
The LSUAD has to be told with extreme prejudice that you want to hear the Band and not PIP; not any PIP.

I'm glad all you clueless millennials finally realize how important the Tiger Band is to the experience in Tiger Stadium. The players & the rest of the stadium would love to hear songs like Neck that bring a ton of energy to the stadium but it will never happen because you idiots ruin it by screaming stuff like STTDB. So to the recent students, thanks for killing what used to be the best student section in the nation for so long. I'll see y'all for the 1st half this Saturday.

This generation will never know what the true atmosphere of Tiger Stadium really is.
They can't enjoy themselves without saying Dick and Bitch.
That stadium use to be electric during Neck and O we O with everyone doing the hand motions and swaying back and forth. I'm glad I was able to experience it during my time in the student section before the children ruined it.
As mad as it makes them when they hear it, the student section sucks now and STTDB is played out is the truth.
