Really surprised we were able to get some of these guys on campus. I can't wait to see where we're at in a few years. JJ will have use back to winning titles in no time.

Know it's football season and coming off a nice win last Saturday but I'm already excited about baseball. Not unusual but even more so now.

Thanks for the post Adam.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t mennonites basically Amish?

Not really. While they come out of the same Anabaptist theological tradition, the Amish are basically quite extreme Mennonites. Mainstream Mennonites don't reject modernity the way the Amish do. They will fly on planes, drive cars, etc. They also believe in higher education (there are Mennonite colleges) in a way that the Amish do not. So I think this guy will be fine to go to college, ride on the team plane, etc. Now, whether he will feature the Amish-style beard or not is an open question. Remember there was a time a few years back when like half the guys in MLB did that anyway?

OK, taking the professor hat off now...

Spot on with Mennonites - sat next to one on a super-late night connecting flight. All lights off, everyone trying to sleep and me and him talked the entire flight and theology and stuff. People wanted to kill us, I think. Cool guy - interesting approach and traditions

Those player ratings are insane! Will enjoy the rest of football season, but I would be lying if I said baseball doesn't hold a little something extra special next season!!

I never thought of it that way regarding attending a college, flying etc. Great response. Thanks!!

Incoming freshmen class is as stacked as ever. Add in the transfer class and we could field a top half SEC team just on newcomers I think… but we also have the #1 ranked player for next years draft (DC), hopefully a fully healthy Tre Morgan Dugas and Beloso, a 2 year starter at SS, Pearson who rakes, a whole lotta talented arms that are about to be coached by one of the best pitching coaches on the planet… frick it let’s go 56-0. GEAUX TIGERS!
