I agree with the OP. This program is just a top middle of the pack SEC team now. Cant even crack top 10 in recruiting. This is not a national championship level program anymore

How is a 10 win season that impressive anymore when you play 13 games (including bowl) with 3-4 built in cupcakes?

We're on the verge of a second straight 10-win season under CBK and considering the situation he took over, that's pretty impressive.
I will agree with you on bad coaching on the defensive side of the ball, which naturally leads to having a horrendous defense. When your entire defense begins to regress as the season goes along, that's a sign of just bad coaching.
On the offensive side of the ball, I think it's imperative that we keep Denbrock as the OC because it's important that we begin to build stability within the program.
I think we're headed in the right direction, but we still have a ways to go to be a real contender for a NC every year. CBK's two top right now is to make sure we keep Denbrock and get the defensive side of the ball turned around, which I think an entire defensive staff is needed.
CBK has been around this game a long time, so I'm sure he knows there is still a lot of work to do!

He is what everyone should realize. Notre Dame was a reputed Power when he took the HC. He kept them relevant.
LSU was fresh off a National Championship when he arrived. He has kept us relevant. There is no indication that he has moved the needle. We are beating the teams we usually beat, except Ole Miss, and losing to Alabama and Georgia.

Denbrock had the Heisman winner at QB and two first round picks at WR. Jpoe Moore award finalists for the OLine. I could have been our OC and done well.

He is under whelming in recruiting , especially targeting mediocre transfer portal targets . He is as advertised according to notre dame fans , take it as you want but that appears to be who he is .
