Nil deals will get some but winning and Nil deals will build fence back up around the state. He's gonna have to prove himself first in the SEC like it or not.

Not sure. Todays generation cares about money and look at me. Little else.

Lou Holt’s summed it up best when asked about todays players versus those when he started coaching.

"Simple. Today's athletes talk about rights and privileges and the players 50 years ago talked about obligations and responsibilities."

I do agree with that but the program was toxic since 2019, gonna take some time to get back to that point. We will see how good of a coach he really is this season. We have some nice pieces to compete

So that’s why Texas A&M is crushing it

It will just take time to develop relationships.

We have guys who felt slighted by O and don’t really know Kelly.

Trying to make an emotional appeal to stay in state is relationship based.

I trust the class but Ondropped the ball on a few guys.

We have some idiots who post on here.

Texas needs to get back to winning before they can recruit well. Georgia will need to win a NC before they start recruiting well. Texas A&M will have to win the sec west before they start recruiting well.

Well, he can’t lose for sure, but winning by a good coach at LSU is SOP. No first year coach at LSU if he is energetic and likable has not done good in the second class and great thereafter. But there are factors this year in LA with HS and families that don’t normally exist at LSU and in LA with the top players. But we will probably even with all that’s going on wind up with a class somewhere in the middle of the top ten..

LSU had the 7th ranked class last year with about 60 days of Kelly at the helm

People like you want instant gratification in June/July.

Holy shite, relax. From what I’ve read the next few weeks will be good to LSU recruiting.

And I can guarantee it’ll never be good enough for some of you, even if it’s the #1 class every year.

He will in due time.. as in this season. He’s a fantastic coach. He can dominate the SEC when the boosters finally wake up. Seems like all NIL dollars are going to baseball since CJJ is destroying the transfer portal.

Give it time. LSU has no excuse to be outside the top-10 classes for recruiting. He had a top 7 class last year. I feel confident he can do that again by next signing day

Some of you guys are all about the sizzle and not the steak. BK is an actual football coach. His coaching ability has been his calling card. I know it's been ages since we've had that.

If he got ND to the playoffs with their underwhelming classes I'm really excited to see what he can do with more talented classes at LSU. He's recruiting very solid prospects so far, I honestly see no reason for concern.

Good point. The money is a big factor. And money, as we all know, only engenders situational commitment.

I think people vastly underestimate Kelly. A lot of y’all here act like he is some scrub coach.
