I’m just not sure Daniels can throw it well enough to win in the SEC. I think as a runner from the QB position he’s top tier but if teams aren’t going to respect him throwing downfield they’ll crowd the box and his wheels will be negated.

Well, we'll find out when summer camp starts and the season begins. I think he can be decent enough passing to keep drives alive, hitting short passes if need be, but when that opening is there I know he won't hesitate to explode downfield.

Sure, if he’s progressed throwing the ball with accuracy and understanding how to play the position his running ability is so good he could win the job. I’m just going by what we can see on video as of now.

Well that is the problem, what kind of offense you want? If that is the offense you want then we are fricked. No way can you be successful in the SEC doing that. What are we fricking Auburn? I want someone to throw short and long. If we are counting on our quarterback just to throw short passes and take off running if it aint there this is going to be a loonnnnnggggg season.

See that’s my biggest worry. When I watch the kid, it seems he gets happy feet and wants to run as soon as his first read is covered. That’s not how a QB should function

you are stupid and don't know football.

That's no problem at all with me man, you give good, fair, and objective opinions on here. I have no issue with what you said, I just disagree with some on here about Nussmeir winning the job. But who knows, I could be wrong.

Spring games may be worthless but spring practices are not…..

Where’d you go troll?!?!?

You’re right we don’t know where any of them are right now, how they fit into what Kelly wants and other intangibles the video doesn’t provide. I think all 3 have real upside and it’s going to come down to who commits the least amount of mistakes while still operating as much of the offense as possible. We don’t want to have to constrict the play-calling because the starter is limited in certain areas.

He's young man, he needs time to grow out of that, I played college ball, but I don't talk about it a lot, people don't believe you anyways. Daniels does get happy feet sometimes, but they're QB's in the pros that still do the same. In highschool I was a QB and learned back then to go through my progressions as fast as possible. Trouble with athletic QB's is that they are so used to taking off and running for big gains that they wanna do that shite all the time. No, you have to go through your progressions and find the open WR, you'd be surprised at who is open by just scanning the field.

These posts are so stupid. Coaches will start whoever they think gives LSU the best chance to win. I don’t get why so many people on this board have already made up their mind who the best QB is.

Are you serious? He passed for more yards in his first 3 starts than any quarterback in LSU history. There were alot more issues with the 2020 team than the quarterback not leading us to wins.

Yeah because Matt Stanford really shouldn’t have been given the job in LA because of his stats in Detroit. Really dumb move by the Rams.

If you say so lol. You can think that but it’s not exactly true.
