All you negative naysayers need to look at the whole picture!
You want to compare Brennan and Burrows?

Brennan is going to be great!!!

I’ve never seen so much doubt about a QB that’s got 682 yards and 7 TDs through 2 games. really shows how far this program has come offensively

“One of the main reasons it isn’t fair to compare Brennan to Burrows is because the 2019 version of Burrow had a year of experience at LSU under his belt before he took the college football world by storm last season.

If Brennan is going to be compared to Burrow, it should be the 2018 version of Burrow.

LSU football’s Myles Brennan accomplished a feat considerably faster than Burrow did.

In Burrow’s first two starts at LSU, he passed for 291 combined yards.”

He doesn't deserve it.

He earned it

Not just at LSU, I’ve never seen any fanbase bash a QB with those numbers but the Rant is always finding new lows.

Brennan played very well last night. But the point of everyone bitching is that he looked totally different last night. He wasn't bailed out by Marshall and Gilbert last night. In fact, drops were a big reason he didn't look even better. Last week, he was bailed out multiple times, despite the WRs having drops.

The comparison to Burrow is insane. Burrow came to Baton Rouge and had a month and a half to get his bearings, learn the playbook, and get chemistry with his WRs. Brennan has had 4 years.

I'm not shitting on him. He looked fantastic, and if he plays like that for the rest of the season, assuming the WRs get their drops under control, we could win out.

Brennan threw a good ball almost all of the night last night.

Brennan did not throw good balls most of last week.

Why is that inconceivable?

REAL TIGER FANS NEED TO TAKE NOTE!

“Burrow didn’t throw for over 300 yards until the 11th game of the 2018 season (307 yards against Rice). His season-high didn’t come until the final game of the season (394 yards against Central Florida in the Fiesta Bowl). Burrow didn’t throw for over 300 yards against an SEC opponent in 2018.”

I am proud of Burrow just like you, but give Brennan the credit he “earned” instead of finding ways to bash him!

I understand this in premise, but the LSU offense that Joe Burrow ran in his first year is entirely different than what has been run the last two seasons.

It is designed now to put up big passing stats.

I do think Brennan has improved from Week 1 to Week 2. There are other deficiencies in this team that will cost games before Brennan.

Awful comparison.

Brennan has been here his entire collegiate career.

Burrow was a transfer who had been with the program for a handful of months.

Pick another hill to die on, cause this one ain't it.

To Brennan’s credit, Burrow had better QB coaching before he got here, and was pretty much developed.

Brennan has only been in this “offensive system” for 2 years.

My issue with the comparison is the 2018 offense was little to nothing like 2019 or 2020, apples to oranges. Like saying Brady had no additive value in 2019 for Burrow. Brennan does deserve credit for his improvement game 1 to 2, should keep improving all season like the rest of the new starters and reserves.

Joe Burrowwas the best QB to ever play at LSU. We need to stop trying to compare Brennan to him and just let Brennan be the best Brennan he can be. And judging from yesterday that’s pretty good. He’ll continue to develop and be just fine.

I’ll give credit where credit is due. Outstanding performance from him last night. Stepping up in the pocket and making great, on time throws. Can’t wait for next Saturday!

Barely any practice, probably less time with coaches and receivers due to COVID. Just plain old rust.

This years offense is what 2018’s players would have looked like with 2019’s playbook.

As fans, our interpretations of good QB playchanged after Burrow last year. If last season never happened, Tiger fans would be practically giddy over Brennan after this week. He's gonna get better and it'll probably be a bit of a roller coaster.

—and Brennan has all new teammates and new coaches! Everyone is finding their way. Burrows time at LSU to Brennan’s start is an awful comparison!
