I was fortunate enough to be in Corpus Christi in June and was able to catch a hooks game before Bregs got promoted. I was wearing LSU colors and sitting on top of the third base dugout (home dugout) and was able to get his attention on his way to the dugout at the end of a defensive inning. He tipped his hat and shook his head in a positive way when I yelled "Go Tigers". The Tigers were still in the regional at that time. After the game, I was able to visit with him. I asked "where are the home runs coming from" , and his simple reply was that in college, they taught swinging down on the ball, and now the emphasis from coaching is to lift the ball. He was very respectful young man and I believe is ready if needed for the bigs. I would show the picture that he allowed for he and I to be taken together, but I don't know how. I am old.

I bought 2 separate autographed Bregman rookie cards this past week on ebay. It seems like his call up to the big leagues is imminent and when it happens, the value of the cards should get a bump. It feels like I am investing in him and makes it fun to check his stats every day.

I was lucky enough to get a couple of balls that he out during batting practice and he signed them. I offered a kid 20 bucks for a ball and he gave me two but refused my money, another class act young man.

Been repeated over and over again, you're not the first.

I believe the Astros could use his help. Put Bregman at 3rd and move Valbuena to 1st because everyone else they have tried at 1st so far has been hot garbage.

I never claimed to be the first; additional affirmation of the quality of post college athletes should not be understated, espcially if it is affirmed by more than one source. Respectfully in my humble opinion.

Just think, in 10 years those cards could be worth $3!!!!!!

I have all my money tied up in Baseball Cards, whale oil, and Victrola companies.

Been stated in here several times that the Astros are in no rush to bring him up. We are finally starting to hit (except against lefties) and Dallas is coming on. One thing we don't need to do is mess with the progress and chemistry. If we continue to improve like we have in the last month, we are pushing the Rangers for first. We could then bring him up during the 40 man roster expansion and it not impact his rookie status. This is ultimately about wins and losses and we are on the way to between 105-115 if we confine to improve. We win 48 games and have a better percentage thanl last year at this time.
We struggle because we are young and Bregs won't help that.

Must be true. Can't imagine who they are sending down and screwing him on his rookie yea, plus screwing salary cap issues.
