we actually hit the ball well in the regionals...just hit them right at the opposing team...

One thing being missed here: In the 15 at-bats where Bregman had zero hits, he was walked 3 times and HBP (hit by pitch) 2 times. He got on base 5 times for an on-base percentage of .333 with a batting percentage of .000.
If he had hit a single 5 times he would still have an on-base percentage of .333 with a batting percentage of .333.
The batting average doesn't tell the whole story.
Granted, a hit may have scored a runner in scoring position. But his 15 at-bats were not a total waste.

I just mentioned the other day a former Tiger who deserves as much mention as Warren Morris (Brad Wilson)
