Well he needs to take what he can get to help the team. The base runner is more helpful then him getting his at bat

Normally that's the case,
But he's got that IT factor.
This team won't hate him for it.
He has a WANT!

22 down votes and you are spot on right. In a nutshell, it's what is wrong with this forum.

He's a great player. One of the all time best tigers. However, this isn't juiced up bonds, Sosa, or McGuire!! Take your base and get your hit the next at bat.

You sure? So you think teams are happy when their best hitters are intentionally walked? There are times with certain hitters you actually want them in the box

As Kyle Peterson said before the game yesterday: "in talking to SEC HC's around the league they all respect the heck out of Bregman." When queried after the game last nite, again by Peterson, about the short hop play he made, he answered: "we're taught the technique to look at the type of hop a ball will produce, and then ...we practice & practice & practice it". He also gave CPM all the credit for his approach of attacking a ground ball & throwing on the run. As talented as he is, he still works his tail off at perfecting each & every part of the game.

And what does he proceed to do once he's on base ...he steals 2nd base on the first pitch thrown.
