Not sure if this has been said yet, but he did a heck of a job punting sans his first punt. Just wanted to point this out. Not bad for his first game, even more impressive that it came against a team like Oregon, which many in the national media picked to beat LSU. Cant wait to hear what Colin Cowherd has to say about the game. He was one of the few smart people that actually picked LSU to win and he backed up his reasoning.

Not sure if serious. I was at the game and didnt get back until early AM Monday. I have been on TD.com pretty much all day and havnt see anyone mention him yet. Just the usual TM7 and honeybadger references.

You're good I was just being an a-hole. Yeah, it's been stated but anything that doesn't involve finding another nickname for Mathieu is good conversation. Especially when someone comes up with honey badger because we needed to call him something terrible.

Im currently living in Melbourne Australia - I loved it when Brent gave props to Wing, talking about Aussie Rules and being from Melbourne.
Im going to have to look up the family!

I wonder if he can do kickoffs? Allemand (sp?) couldn't seem to get the ball inside the 10 yard line.

It's been mentioned several times, but it's worth repeating. Dude was a weapon.

Ahh well I guess thats my bad. I was concerned about our kicking/punting game, but I have more confidence after the performances I saw Saturday. Wing certainly did his part in causing the TM7 touchdown.

Can he kick off like some punters do in the NFL?

I agree. Controlling field position is going to be very important for the type of team we have right now offensively. So his leg will be a big asset if he continues to punt the ball this well.

I remember hearing DJ Howard may get some chances early on. But that may not be neccesary anymore.
