overrated????

most aren't expecting them to make the tourney at this point

maybe at the beginning of the season, but now, if you're actually paying attention to anything you'd realize that they currently aren't overrated

.......done being logical with you, go away troll

Lunardi overrates LSU imo.

I agree. Seems like he is the only one giving LSU any chance at all. But the dude does know what he is talking about.

You must never watch any games. Hickey is extremely quiet and would much rather rack up assists than score. If team is doing well, he doesn't take many shots.

You'd have to make a strong case for JOB or Martin. Neither of which fit that mold, imo.

I agree. Just think he's more favorable than anyone else. He doesn't have any actual bias towards LSU.

that's impossible since lsu is the only bubble team losing. every other bubble team has gone undefeated in the past few weeks. getting into the ncaa tourney from the bubble is pretty much the exact same process as getting in the bcs championship game.

I already know you base this on your own stupidity by default, but what do you think you base this on?

This team ain't got the heart to do it Bunch of me players on this team

I don't know about the me player thing but I would like to see somebody get a flagrant foul or something at least 1 time. Get upset, scream at a ref for crying out loud.

Why in the world would anybody ever want a player to do this?

Why did I just automatically know it would turn into this.

A) Martin or Hickey "Me" players? Yes, Hickey likes to take last second shots...doesn't mean he's a me player. JOB wants to get his touches, but we are better as a team when the offense runs through JOB, typically.

B) Not all defensive problems come from the coach...not all defensive problems have to do with intensity. Some players just aren't great defenders. Martin can't guard anyone on the wing simply because of foot speed, and our 2 guards are extremely undersized. It's not ALWAYS someone's fault, sometimes it just is what it is.

C) Although I agree it's a long shot, we could EASILY win tonight and Saturday giving us a 6-seed in the tourney. If we get the 6-seed we could easily beat the 11/14 and 3 (UGA) to set up a meeting with UK in the semis...and we've all seen how we play against UK. This team is not completely done yet. If we lose tonight, then yes it is done. But I'm keeping hope alive

LSU is in the top 8 looking in, but that is without the inevitable surprise tourney winners. Even in the SEC, if anyone but UK or UF wins, they are possibly taking the final NCAA tournament spot the SEC will get. Though, we may get 4 bids. Depends on how the season ends.

That is the best case scenario and, quite frankly, tonight is probably going to be the toughest part of it before a potential UK matchup in the semis. By the way, this is not too far fetched.

That is true. Although I think you could add Ark and Tenn along with UK and UF. The way both of those teams are playing right now, it's hard to see LSU getting in ahead of them as an "at large". Without winning the SECT LSU would have to be the FIFTH team from the SEC to get in. While it's not likely, it would be a battle between them and Mizzou.

Basically LSU has to win probably 4 straight games to have a chance AND have almost none of the really good mid-majors lose in thier conf. tournaments. In recent years, the NCAA has shown more of a proclivity for putting in mid-major reg. season conf champs who didn't get the auto-bid over middle of the pack BCS conf. teams
