We can sit here and blame the players for having no emotion, for not being leaders, and not having the heart to win at all costs, but at the end of the day the responsibility lies with the head coach to instill that want to compete every single second. You think coach Cal doesn't have to deal with ego's? Bottom line, if there is finger pointing in the locker room, the coach has to be the boss. It doesn't seem like Johnny is the man that can handle it.

Jones probably needed to boot a couple of guys from the team a long time ago.

Who is he going to boot? There isn't enough depth on the team to boot anyone. He has to be the leader and he wasn't.

One thing i noticed was how Quarterman could single handedly get us blown out. He could turn the ball over three times in a row, shoot 4 times in a row and miss, but he would never be taken out. He thought he should be getting the spotlight that Ben was getting and it cost us several games.

I agree with you, Run DMC, but the whole situation is tricky.

Weren't they the ones who shot 20% from the field and 46% from the line?

Winning is 95% on how talented your players are and 5% on coaching. LSU basketball wasn't every talented. Look on the all SEC teams.

I even wonder what he is going to do with two bigs that aren't good enough to play major college ball and a thick "tweener" who has no position and is not effective when on the court. Those 3 have been eating bench space for 2-3 seasons and are a reason for no inside presence on the team. The roster composition is insane.

What world you live in or what games have you been watching cause 60% of the games I watched we lost because of the coach, making kids accountable, calling plays, making adjustments, motivation, that all is coaching and we have nothing of the sort.

wow, that's just dead wrong.

Yes, talent is extremely important, but once talent is on campus, it's up to the coach to employ the right strategy and tactics, motivate properly, and to manage the personalities.

You can't just roll the ball out on the floor and say "go." It takes, you know, actual coaching to maximize the performance of your horses.
